In View of the Current Economic Crisis in the Country and to Celebrate its 86th Anniversary a New Foster program named ‘Sathva Sawiya’ is Being Introduced by the Dehiwala Zoological Park.
This Park being one of the main Tourist attractions in Colombo was established in 1936 and Currently houses more than 4000 animal, having this many Animal also Comes with a Price tag of Rs.45 million.
This program is Made just to combat this Monetary need, with this Program any Citizen of Sri Lanka can take the responsibility of one animal or a Group of Animals and Provide them with food and Other Necessities.
Yamuna Padmini, Mother of two and Administrative Officer of the Polonnaruwa Divisional Secretaria had been stabbed with a sharp object at her home at around 2:45 am on 04th July. Unfortunately she passed away due to the severity of her injuries The culprit for the murder has been suspected to be none other than her own husband
