Kirsten Dunst and Jesse Plemons played a married couple in Fargo and later became engaged and married. They were nominated for an Academy Award for their performances as George and Rose in The Power of the Dog.
They’ve been together for six years and are the proud parents of two young boys (ages four and one) who were born during their time together in 2017.
US entertainment website Page Six claims that the couple tied the knot at Jamaica’s posh GoldenEye resort in Ocho Rios. The resort is known for its private beaches and hidden coves with white sand, where Ian Fleming famously composed all his 007 books. Dunst’s representative acknowledged the couple’s marriage but declined to comment further.
While playing a married couple in the critically acclaimed second season of Fargo, the two actors first worked together in 2015. Their subsequent collaborations include the Netflix film Windfall, Charlie Brooker’s Black Mirror’s USS Callister episode, and an episode of Drunk History in which Dunst portrayed Agatha Christie.
Dunst, known for her role as Mary Jane in the Spider-Man films, recently told the Los Angeles Times that she and her husband “call each other husband and wife,” but that they were waiting to celebrate their marriage because she was expecting her second child. When she initially met Plemons, now 34, she told The New York Times, “he would be in my life forever.” In an interview with the US edition of People magazine, Plemons said the following regarding Dunst: “I refuse to work on another movie without [Kristen]. Just the greatest; no other words can describe it.”
Both Dunst and Plemons have upcoming projects: Dunst in Alex Garland’s epic action film Civil War, and Plemons in Martin Scorsese’s crime drama Killers of the Flower Moon, both starring Leonardo DiCaprio, and in the crime mini series Love and Death, starring Elizabeth Olsen
