Following the devastating earthquakes that shook Turkey and Syria, rescue workers have been working tirelessly to save as many lives as possible. Over 35,000 people have lost their lives, and the death toll continues to rise. However, there have also been incredible stories of survival and rescue.

In Gaziantep and Hatay in Turkey, rescuers were able to pull a 10-year-old girl, a 13-year-old boy, and at least two women from the rubble after 183 hours. The survivors were found in collapsed buildings, and rescue workers had to carefully navigate the debris to reach them. Miraculously, 70-year-old Nuray Gurbuz was also rescued 178 hours after the earthquake, while 26-year-old Derya Akdogan and six-year-old Miray were found alive after 177 and 178 hours, respectively. These stories of survival offer hope and inspiration during this difficult time.
