Former Sri Lankan Cricketer Sanath Jayasuriya Heads Sri Lanka Tourism Promotion Event in London

On the 25th of February 2023, a Sri Lanka Tourism Promotion event will take place in London, United Kingdom, under the leadership of Sri Lanka Tourism Ambassador and former Sri Lanka cricketer, Sanath Jayasuriya. The event is organized in collaboration with the Midlands Ceylonese and Brits Foundation, which aims to support Sri Lanka through the combined efforts of Sri Lankan and British communities in the UK.

The main objective of the event is to promote Sri Lanka as the top tourist destination globally, and encourage Sri Lankan entrepreneurs to support the country’s rebuilding efforts. Additionally, the event aims to attract niche areas on the island to stimulate growth plans, and leverage the British communities to actively participate in Sri Lankan projects. The event is part of the ‘#SriLankaCan’ project, led by Sanath Jayasuriya, which aims to boost tourism in Sri Lanka and reinvigorate the country’s growth plans.
