Exploration firm UK Oil & Gas (UKOG) has announced the discovery of a gas reserve worth £123m at Dunsfold in the Surrey Hills. While UKOG hopes to begin production by 2026, opponents argue that the project will result in “irreversible harm” to the environment and are calling for it to be halted.
