Twitter has laid off another 200 employees

Over the weekend, Twitter announced that it had laid off at least 200 employees, which is equivalent to 10% of its workforce. This move comes as part of a broader restructuring plan by the social media platform. Among the casualties was Esther Crawford, the product management director who famously slept in the office last year and played a key role in launching the paid Twitter Blue subscription service. The job cuts also included some of Twitter’s top executives. The news of the layoffs was announced by Twitter’s billionaire owner, Elon Musk, who tweeted that it was “the first day of the rest of your life.”
