5.6 magnitude earthquake hits Indonesia’s West Sumatra

A 5.6-magnitude earthquake struck Indonesia’s West Sumatra province on Thursday morning, according to the country’s meteorology agency. The quake’s epicenter was located southeast of the South Coast district and at a depth of 82 km under land. There were no reports of a tsunami, and the tremors were also felt in the nearby Jambi province.
