Disney’s latest live-action remake, Peter Pan & Wendy, has received criticism after the trailer revealed that the Lost Boys have been updated to include girls. The remake features new characters including the female Birdie and Bellweather. The movie, set to premiere on Disney+ on April 28, follows the tale of a young girl who travels to Neverland and meets Peter Pan, Tinker Bell, and Captain Hook. The film has been accused of promoting a “woke” agenda, similar to Disney’s recent cartoon series, The Proud Family: Louder and Prouder, which was criticized for featuring black children rapping about reparations.
