Teen driver who crashed into lorry while fleeing police given suspended sentence.

A 19-year-old driver, Oliver Clark, who failed to stop for police in Cleethorpes in July and drove at speeds of up to 100mph on the A180, crashed into a lorry while being pursued by police. Clark was in a coma for four days following the crash and has admitted dangerous driving. He has been sentenced to 12 months in jail, suspended for two years. Humberside Police said that due to the dangerous manner of Clark’s driving, it was not possible to immediately bring the pursuit to a safe resolution.
