Nine killed as Russia launches missile strikes across Ukraine

Russia launched missile attacks across Ukraine resulting in power outages and damage to buildings and infrastructure. The strikes hit several cities from Kharkiv in the north to Odesa in the south and Zhytomyr in the west. According to Ukraine, 81 missiles were fired, marking the biggest missile attack on Ukraine since the end of January. The military claimed that it had shot down 34 cruise missiles and four of the eight Iranian-made drones fired. At least nine people were killed and several injured in the attacks, which also caused damage to Europe’s largest nuclear power plant, resulting in a power outage.
