Prince Harry to be a test case in phone-hacking trial

Prince Harry will be one of several high-profile figures bringing damages claims against newspaper publisher, Mirror Group Newspapers (MGN), over allegations of phone-hacking. The Duke of Sussex has been selected as one of the representative claimants whose cases will be tried as a test case. His claim covers a period of 1996 to 2010 and alleges that 148 articles included information that was unlawfully obtained, including phone-hacking. The trial is due to begin on May 9th. Other celebrities involved in the case include Cheryl, George Michael’s estate, Ian Wright, and Ricky Tomlinson.
