UK Braces for Heavy Snow and Travel Disruption as Arctic Air Arrives

Forecasters have issued an amber warning for heavy snow and travel disruption in central and northern England, as a wave of Arctic air brings icy conditions to the region. The warning, which will come into force on Thursday afternoon, covers an area between Stoke-on-Trent and Durham, including the Peak District, Leeds, the Yorkshire Dales, and the North Pennines. Travel delays, power cuts, and rural communities being cut off are expected. The warning follows the UK’s coldest March temperature since 2010.
