Boots, the UK’s largest pharmacy chain, is changing its Advantage Card loyalty scheme to offer discounts on more own-brand products but reducing the monetary value of points. From May, customers will collect 3p worth of points for every £1 spent instead of 4p. However, customers will now be able to save 10% in store on 6,000 of Boots’ own-brand products and hundreds of products with its Price Advantage scheme. The move comes as Boots responds to customer feedback and increasing retailer costs. Students will still receive a 10% discount storewide, along with an extra 10% off Boots branded products. Points accrued until 23 May will not change in monetary value.
