Man moved to tears by Hollywood film ‘The Whale’ which resonated with his own life, as he gained weight after someone close to him died, and now weighs 30 stone (190kg). The movie about a reclusive English teacher with severe obesity has won an Oscar for its star, Brendan Fraser, and has given a voice to people in his situation. Sean Crawford from Athelstaneford in East Lothian says there are many similarities between his life and that of the film’s lead character, Charlie.
