NEWS Former Pakistani Prime Minister Imran Khan Charged with Terrorism

Former Prime Minister Imran Khan, 17 of his aides, and dozens of supporters have been charged with terrorism and other offences by Pakistan police after clashes between Imran Khan-led Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) workers and police. Riot police used batons and tear gas as supporters hurled firebombs and rocks at the cops. Almost 50 police officers were injured, and many cars and motorcycles were set on fire. Khan did not appear in court to face charges of selling official gifts received while in government and concealing assets. Two non-bailable arrest warrants were issued against Khan after he failed to appear in court for cases linked to the Toshakhana reference and threatened a woman additional district and sessions judge.
