LNER is to launch a daily rail service between London and Edinburgh to mark the coronation of King Charles III. Starting on May 6, LNER’s 11:00 train from King’s Cross to Edinburgh Waverley will be known as the Carolean Express, to coincide with the coronation day. The new service will run in the same direction as LNER’s weekday Flying Scotsman service to London, and is expected to prove popular with passengers. The reign of King Charles III will be known as the Carolean period, the same name as the eras of Charles I and II.
