UK supermarkets have not lowered their prices despite a drop in global wholesale food prices, leading to inflation remaining higher than expected. The British Retail Consortium said there could be a three to nine-month lag before seeing price falls in stores. Inflation fell to 10.1% in the year to March from 10.4% in February, but still remained high due to food prices rising at their fastest rate in 45 years. Rising food prices tend to impact poorer households the most, as they tend to spend a greater proportion of their income on groceries.
Moonbin, a member of the K-pop group Astro, has died at the age of 25. He was found unresponsive by his manager at his apartment in Seoul on Wednesday night, and police suspect that he took his own life, but an autopsy is pending.
